(SACRAMENTO) Environmental and Climate Change Literacy Projects (ECCLPs) recently recognized UC Davis Health and Sustainability Director Kristina Cullen in an article posted to its website.

In the article, Cullen discusses her background in sustainability, the inspiration at the root of her work, and how equity plays a role in UC Davis Health’s sustainability efforts.

There is power in storytelling and vulnerability, and I was honored to be chosen to tell my story in hopes of inspiring others to want to take action toward climate and sustainability change," Cullen said. "I'd like to encourage others to do a self reflection as a way to bring purpose and meaning to their work through the lens of prioritizing environmental impacts. Even though one's job title isn't 'sustainability,' it doesn't mean your contributions to climate and the environment aren't as important.
